PAINTING
An on-going, collective painting created by an ever-growing number of hands in four installments. Participants painted on the 5’ X 4’ canvas while I stood behind them continuously snapping pictures to project at the subsequent session,
ultimately creating a picture in picture in picture in picture. The art was the process of painting itself.
This video is a sped-up compilation of all four stop-motion videos. The sound was recorded live from the background music and chatter at the first event.
Conducted on January 25th, February 22nd, May 24th, and July 26th, 2010 at Make My Monday at Fort Mason Center.
